Somasamudra 100MWac/135MWp Solar Project

The Somasamudra Solar Project, located in Ballari district, Karnataka, will supply clean and reliable green energy to industrial customers. 

Situated in Yerrangali Village, Kurugodu Taluka, Ballari District, the project harnesses the abundant solar resource of the region using Mono PERC Crystalline – MBB Technology.

Grid connectivity has been secured at the Somasamudra 220/110 kV substation, located approximately 7.3 km from the project site. The substation is surrounded by agricultural land, and the transmission line passes predominantly through agricultural areas in Yerrangali village. 

The total estimated land required for the Project is 166 ha

The estimated commissioning dates are as follows:

• AMPYR 5 – 50 MW/67.5 MWp in May 2026;
• AMPYR 10 – 50 MW/67.5 MWp in July 2026

Ampyr has a robust grievance mechanism to record and resolve complaints both internally and externally. Stakeholders receive periodic training on the process, and public disclosures ensure awareness through project boards, newspaper ads, and more. Grievances, whether oral or written, are recorded by a designated coordinator at each site, reviewed, investigated, and resolved per the project’s ESMS.
