Summary

Job Title: Investment Vice President/ Associate Director - AMPYR Australia

Primary Focus

Leadership of transactions, investor negotiations, team oversight, and platform strategy

Role Purpose

  • Lead origination, structuring and execution of investments with a focus on:
    • Capital transaction negotiation and execution (project finance, capital raising, M&A)
    • Financial modelling oversight – first call for Associate support and model problem-solving
    • Construction-stage investment oversight
    • Platform strategy and governance

Key Responsibilities:

Investment & Transactions

  • Act as first point of modelling expertise for the team; troubleshoot, refine and validate models built by Associates
  • Lead execution of project finance, capital, and M&A transactions, including term sheet and documentation negotiations
  • Drive transaction deliverables for IC and Board approval

Capital Raising & Investor Engagement

  • Lead investor and lender negotiations for project and platform-level capital transactions
  • Manage relationships with institutional investors and advisors
  • Represent AMPYR externally in forums and counterpart discussions

Strategic Development

  • Lead evaluation of M&A, partnerships and JV opportunities
  • Contribute to platform strategy and scalable funding models
  • Develop investment criteria, governance and risk frameworks

Portfolio & Construction

  • Provide senior oversight of construction-stage assets and financing compliance
  • Monitor portfolio performance and risk at senior level
  • Align commercial/financial outcomes with project delivery teams

Project Development

  • Manage workflow and provide senior oversight for Associate’s Project Development tasks
  • Guide structuring of Joint Development Agreements
  • Oversee analysis of offtake and revenue contracts

Essential Attributes

  • Exceptional financial modelling and structuring skills – capable of independently building and resolving complex models, as well as coaching/mentoring juniors
  • Strong BESS and infra market knowledge
  • Proven leadership and mentoring ability
  • Strong presence in external negotiations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Finance/Econ/Eng
  • 6–10+ yrs experience (infra funds, IB, project finance, PE, corp dev)
  • Demonstrated mastery of financial modelling for internally developed projects, project finance, and platform transactions
  • Significant experience in capital raising and transaction execution
  • Construction oversight exposure (desirable)
  • Strong investor/advisor network (desirable)
